we just got back into our area... But! You aren't reading this to hear about
the game :) I'll get to the really good stuff!

GO Nats! |
This week was a pretty good one! We
taught Scott, and Cheryl, and a TON of less actives. WE HAD 5 LESS ACTIVE
FAMILIES IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY!!! That's crazy!! We were so excited! We have been
working really hard to reactivate these families and we're seeing fruits from
our labors! But! At the same time, both my Russian and I are starting to get
frustrated with the lack of investigators... So we're now trying to find a good
balance! So far it's working! We have some new potential investigators :)
Hopefully I'll have more to report on those next week.
Scott is awesome. He's still good
for his baptism next month :) We'll start teaching him the commandments this
week (wish us luck).
Cheryl is not so awesome :/ We
removed her b-date. She just isn't willing to live the Law of Chastity! Who
would have thought the 62 year old woman would be the one to give me a fight on
that?? But we don't want to drop her because she IS progressing. She came to
church on Sunday even though her foot was killing her! That's huge for Cheryl!
She doesn't do anything she doesn't want to do. So we'll probably give her
another transfer... Then we'll see where she is at.
My Russian is teaching me a lot this
transfer. And I'm so grateful for everything she's taught me... Even if it was
hard to swallow my pride (I'm still trying to swallow my pride. Does it ever go
away?). She is so wonderful and such an amazing missionary! And so patient! I'm
pretty sure she's really the senior companion and I'm just a greenie still...
At least that is what it feels like.
I can't believe this transfer is
over! It has gone by way too quickly! My whole mission is going by way to
quickly, haha. An Elder today had to rub it in that next transfer, I'll hit my
half way mark, and that now I'm technically an "old" missionary. I
don't feel old!! :( What would you say if I told you I'm never coming home? I'm
just going to be a missionary forever! ;)
A Sister asked me today what is the
biggest thing I've learned on my mission so far. I think it would have to be
love. Love is so powerful. And if I feel and see love working in my life and
in the work I'm doing, how powerful is the love that our Father and Savior have
for us? Isn't incredible? Love is the motive for everything. Love is the reason
for everything. Love, love, love, love, love!! It's the answer for everything,
I promise.
AND I LOVE YOU!!!
Thank you so much for the support
and love you've shown me while I'm out here. May the Lord bless you and watch
over you!
Have a great week!!
